General: When are you open for the 24/25 winter season?
Tentative opening date is November 28, 2024. Tentative closing date is April 6, 2025.
General: When will lift tickets, lessons and rentals be on sale?
Lift tickets, lessons and rentals will go on sale in October.
General: What are your Weekday and Weekend/Holiday dates?
Weekday dates are Monday – Friday (excluding holidays). Weekend/Holiday dates are Saturdays, Sundays. Holidays rates apply: December 23 – 31, January 18 – 20, February 15 – 17 and March 8 – 16.
General: Are you open Christmas Day and New Years Day?
Yes, once we open for the season we are open every day until our closing date.
General: What should I wear?
We recommend that you wear layers. First layer next to your skin should be something that wicks moisture. Next layer a fleece or sweater. Outside layer something that is wind and waterproof.
General: Do you rent goggles and gloves?
We do not rent goggles or gloves, but our Sports Shop has a wide selection of both for purchase.
General: Can we ride the chair up and back down?
Once we open for the ski season you must have equipment on to ride the chair. Foot passengers are allowed only during the fall.
General: When do half day lift tickets start/end?
Spring Hours AM Half Day: 9:30pm - 1:00pm, PM Half Day: 1:00pm - 4:30pm.
General: Can I bring my own food?
Yes you can. We also have food available to purchase at both La Casa Lodge and Totemoff’s.
General: Is there WiFi available?
We have WiFi throughout La Casa Lodge and at Totemoff's.
General: Do I have to pay for parking?
Not at Ski Santa Fe!
General: Will it be snowing on Christmas Eve?
We sure hope so! We do not control the weather though.
General: Do you have sledding or tubing?
We do not have a sledding area at Ski Santa Fe, and sledding and tubing are not allowed on the slopes.
General: How do I find bus information?
The Mountain Trail Bus to Ski Santa Fe runs every day, you can find the timetable on our Getting Here page.
General: What is your uphill policy?
We welcome Uphill Skiers and Snowboarders, please adhere to the Uphill Responsibility Code that can be found on our Uphill Policy page.
General: What is your refund policy
For Lift Tickets, Snow Sports School, and Chipmunk Corner: Refunds will be honored up until midnight of the day before your scheduled visit. Refunds will not be honored on the date of your visit.
Rentals: Do you have season long rentals?
We do not offer season long rentals, we do offer rentals for our Multi-Day programs.
Rentals: Can we get our rental equipment the day before?
Yes. You can pick up your rental equipment the day before between 2pm and 3pm only. Not available during holiday periods, Dec 26 – Jan 1 and Mar 11 – Mar 19.
Snow Sports School: What Time should I arrive?
We recommend arriving at the mountain as early as possible, Especially during Holidays. Allow yourself plenty of extra time for your drive if it is snowing or has recently snowed.
Snow Sports School: Where should I go?
If you are renting equipment, start at the rental shop to get your equipment first. After you have your equipment, follow the signs to the Snow Sports Ticket office.
Snow Sports School: Do I need a reservation?
Group lessons and Chipmunk Corner lessons are available to purchase online. Reservations are highly recommended for private lessons, but we can sometimes accommodate the day of as well.
Snow Sports School: What should I wear?
We recommend wearing waterproof pants, waterproof gloves, appropriate layering for the conditions, eye protection, sunscreen, and long socks. Try to avoid cotton if possible.
Snow Sports School: What ages can take a group lesson?
The minimum age for group lessons at the adult Snow Sports School is 10. We can accommodate children 3 years and older in a private lesson. Chipmunk corner is for ages 4 through 11.
Snow Sports School: What is the policy on tipping my instructor?
There is no Policy on tipping, however, if you feel your instructor has met or exceeded expectations, gratuity is accepted.
Snow Sports School: Can we all be in the same lesson?
We offer Family Packages so that you can take a lesson together, as long as the group is on the same type of equipment. However, it is often recommended to split lessons based on abilities and age.
Snow Sports School: How many people are in a group lesson?
On skis, Group lessons can range anywhere from 1 to 12 people. The average size being around 6. On a Snowboard, Group lessons can be anywhere from 1 to 8 people. The average size being 5.
Chipmunk Corner: Where do we get our child’s rental equipment?
Chipmunk Corner provides rental equipment for our students (if complete package is purchased).
Chipmunk Corner: What does my child need to bring/wear?
Dress warmly and in layers. Label everything. Waterproof gloves, jacket and pants. Eyewear - googles are best. Wear only one pair of warm socks. One pair of extra socks for wet/cold feet. Sunscreen (below eyes only).
Chipmunk Corner: How can I prepare my child to have fun-filled day at Chipmunk Corner?
Children should be well-rested. An extra day for acclimation to our elevation is best. Eat a substantial breakfast. Drink lots of water. Inform staff of any medical or special needs your child requires.
Chipmunk Corner: What is your process for setting up classes?
Classes are designed with your child’s age and skill level in mind. We reserve the right to move students accordingly.
Chipmunk Corner: What happens if my child becomes ill or refuses to participate in the class?
Parents will be notified to pick-up child by paging system.
Chipmunk Corner: Will my child ride the chairlift with an adult?
Children may ride chairlifts with other children, adult guests or alone.
